A novel ameliorated rat model of reversible obstructive jaundice

Obstructive jaundice is a common clinical symp-tom generally caused by bile duct stones,inflammatory hyperplasia,and tumors.It is characterized by hyper-bilirubinemia and may trigger a variety of complica-tions such as hypotension,kidney injury,endotoxemia,multiple organ dysfunction syndrome,and even death(Pavlidis and Pavlidis,2018;Liu et al.,2021).Reliev-ing bile duct obstruction and providing adequate drain-age have been considered as the most effective ther-apies for obstructive jaundice.
