The Number One Bronze Chariot and Horses of Emperor Qin Shihuang”s Mausoleum
This chariot has two wheels with a single shaft,one on each side,and is pulled by four horses with complete harnesses.The shaft of the wheels can be rotated.The chariot has a rectangular carriage,in which a large umbrella with a long stem is securely fixed to one side of the chariot and mounted in the umbrella holder.Underneath the umbrella,standing in the carriage of the chariot,is an official royal charioteer who wears a sword and is holding the ropes of bridles.The horses are wearing gold and silver-inlaid bridles on their heads,including gold face-plates on their foreheads.The horses,carriage,and umbrella are all decorated with colorful paintings.
