Flux avalanche in thin superconducting film with internal crack
When type-Ⅱ superconductors are in external magnetic field,the magnetic flux would penetrate the superconductors in the form of flux vortex ”l”.If the superconductor is subjected to a local thermal disturbance,this may trigger a surge of flux vortices into the superconductor,which would lead to thermomagnetic instabilities,such as flux jump and flux avalanche ”2”.At a lower environment temperature,a flux avalanche is one of the key factors preventing widespread application of superconducting electronic devices ”3”.
