The area of fluorescent probe driven by the rapid progress of fluorescence microscopy and biomolecule labeling techniques has been becoming an attractive one to bridge chemistry and biology.Numerous fluorescent probes have been reported to recognize ions,small molecules,biomolecules and interactions between proteins and probes.These probes are powerful tools for biologists and medical scientists in diagnosis and detection.For chemists,research focuses on the improvement of fluorophores to fulfill the live-cells imaging,such as brightness and photo stability in the use of long-term imaging or super-resolution imaging,better mechanisms to translate recognition events into fluorescence signals to increase sensitivity and selectivity,and advanced technologies to control the distribution of probes in biological issues.
