晚期早产儿呼吸道合胞病毒感染的预防
1 Introduction
The vast majority of upper and lower respiratory tract infections in children have a viral etiology.Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most common causative agent of this acute illness, principally affecting the respiratory system and varies in severity of duration.RSV is responsible for 50%-90% of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis and 25% for pneumonia.Premature infants less than 32 weeks and infants with anomalies, such as chronic respiratory insufficiency (bronchopulmonary dysplasia or chronic lung disease) and hemodynamically significant congenital heart defects, are some of the subsets of neonates particularly likely to contract RSV infections.Prophylaxis for these groups has been extensively studied and is supported by clinical guidelines in many parts of the world[1-2].
