@@ The dioxotetraamine ligands possess the structures similar to those of the oligopeptides.They are able to form stable complexes with transition metal ions.Their two amide moieties lose hydrogen ions during coordinationwith divalent metal ions,therefore they are able to stabilize high oxidation states of metal ions in aqueous solution[1].
