An Analysis of Dictogloss Technique on Writing Improvement for Senior High School Students in China

Introduction English writing,as a productive language skill,takes a dominant position in language learning in China.In the paper of National I of the National Matriculation English Test (NMET),writing accounts for 25 scores,one sixth of the overall test scores.The majority of senior high school teachers and students are examination-driven,so both of them attach great importance to writing.However,most writing classes lack active participation,interaction and communication between teachers and students or students and students.Many English teachers only assign writing as homework,letting students finish it individually and hand it in the next day.
