CLT Re-examined(Ⅰ)
Introduction
The lack of a consistent explanation of communicative language teaching (CLT) has led to multiple interpretations over the past thirty years.This particular approach has a lot to offer students and can be analyzed on two levels.There is the functional language that generally defines CLT;there is also the category of exchanges necessary to effectively manage learning in the classroom.However,the debate over the defining elements of CLT has been eclipsed by the realization that the constraints and opportunities offered by different English language teaching settings dictate the approach(es) that best fit individual classes or institutions.
