SIFGD: Setaria italica Functional Genomics Database
Dear Editor,Foxtail millet (Setaria italica) is a member of the Poaceae grasses that was initially domesticated from the wild species of S.viridis in Northern China over 8700 years ago (Barton et al.,2009).Foxtail millet is distributed in natural and agricultural ecosystems worldwide,and it is grown as a cereal crop for both human food and fodder (Bettinger et al.,2010).
